NFL – 1978 – Greatest Plays – Raiders QB Ken Stabler Fumbles The Ball Forward For TD With No Time On

The play depicted in this video herewith provides evidence as to why Raiders QB Ken Stabler was known as Snake….cuz that cat could slither out of so many tight situations…..and somehow come out smelling like a rose….for here Oakland is with only 10 seconds left in the game…..as the Raiders have the ball on the Chargers 15 yard line….and as Snake is in the Charger’s grasp…..he somehow manages to fumble the football forward…..when another Raiders tries to recover the fumble, but instead manages to push the ball another 5 yards forward…..when Raider’s TE Dave Casper comes across the field….and while he attempts to pick up the ball, but instead kicks the ball forward into the end zone….then falls on the ball for the winning touchdown with no time remaining.

The simple fact is that this remarkable play was one of many that the Snake from Oakland was able to pull off as he slithered out of trouble.
