NFL – 1979 – NFL Films – A Season Of Peaks And Valleys – With John Facenda

We have often made the comment here at ImaSportsphile that NFL Films has been the “Gold Standard” for sports films since the day that father Ed Sabol and son Steve Sabol opened their doors with their exclusive contract with the NFL to film any and all games played for the past 57 years.

NFL Films is a company devoted to producing commercials, television programs, feature films, and documentaries for and about the National Football League (NFL), as well as other unrelated major events and awards shows….which was founded as Blair Motion Pictures by Ed Sabol in 1962….and run by his son Steve Sabol until his death in 2012.  It is currently owned by the NFL and produces most of its videotaped content except its live game coverage…..which is handled separately by the individual networks.  NFL Films is based in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.

This particular NFL Films production titled “1971: A Season Of Peaks and Lows” is narrated by the legendary John Facenda…..who was the “Voice of God in the NFL” for many of their best films…..as we at ImaSportsphile are blessed to have so many NFL Films productions in our vintage library of NFL memories,,,,with more than our fair share having John Facenda narrating what is seen in film.
