In our opinion here at ImaSportsphile….we believe that Ed Sabol and son, Steve, of NFL Films fame set the “gold standard” for all sports films that have ever been produced….only rivaled to some degree by such pieces as Bud Greenspan’s Olympiad production……Mel Allen’s This Week In Baseball…..ESPN’s 30 for 30 series….HBO’s Boxing Best series….NFL Network’s A Football Life…..but any way you cut the pie…. NFL Films wrote the book for filming a sport and producing great stories to go with their priceless footage…..and ImaSportsphile is blessed to have so many NFL Films productions in our library….cuz their series like The Men Who Played The Game…..Great Teams Great Games Great Seasons….The Best Ever can all stand on their own as “classic sports series”…..and when they put the voices and narrations of such sports film legendary narrators like Harry Kalas, Jeff Kaye and the incomparable John Facenda…. it made for a video worth watching and cherishing as evidenced by the video seen herewith…..when John Facenda tells the stories of the Greatest Teams Ever including the Vince Lombardi’s Green Bay Packers, Don Shula’s Miami Dolphins, Al Davis’s Oakland Raiders, Tom Landry’s Dallas Cowboys and Chuck Noll’s Pittsburgh Steelers. Any way you cut the pie….this is MUST SEE TV to any and all NFL fans.
