In the mid-1980’s, ESPN featured NFL Monday Night Football…..and their pre-game production was called “Monday Night Match-Up”….which featured Steve Sabol (NFL Films fame) and Allie Sherman (NFL Head Coach fame) at the desk….and ESPN NFL analyst / commentator Chris Berman would often times join the desk with the two hosts Sabol and Sherman. Simply put, “The Swame” has been at the forefront of NFL on ESPN for a mighty long time.
This Monday Night Match-UP between the Bears vs Dolpins….is an impending clash between two NFL giants…..cuz in 1985, the Bears went on to win Super Bowl XX that year….and the Dolphins went on to lose to the Patriots in the 1985 AFC Championship….so, this Monday Nigth Match-Up was much more than a headliner….and well worth watching.
