The 1950’s is considered by many as the golden age of pro football…..with more than one half of pro football’s all time team coming from this decade…..for the game in the 50’s was not stylized or synchronized….but was a wild game…..with a highlight film with all the penalties and mistakes left in…..where at the top pro football bubbled like soda pop….effervescent and sweet….but beneath the surface…..the game had a harsh bitter taste…it was a rough, violent and often brutal sport..
