This NBC production of Super Bowl XIII between the Dallas Cowboys vs Pittsburgh Steelers is hosted by Dick Enberg and Merlin Olsen….along with Bryan Gumble, Fran Tarkenton, Mike Adamle and Donna de Varonna each covering pertinant information about the upcoming game….with the best part being when Enberg and Olsen compare the two offenses….which were both much better than good…..as it proved out in the game.
It is always a treat for this lil ole chiweenie Sportsphile to see these vintage productions by major networks in preview of a major sporting event….and nothing is bigger than the Super Bowl…..so to go back and see what all went in to NBC’s preview of Super Bowl XIII is worth the watch….and the piece on Vince Lombardi in this clip is priceless.
