This video clip of NBC’s Preview of Super Bowl XIII starts off with a wonderful feature and tribute to NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle….covering the growth of the league during his 18 years at the helm….as NBC’s Mike Adamle gives a wonderful perspective of Rozelle’s “iron fisted reign” of the NFL.
Dick Enberg and John Brodie finish off this video with a indepth look at the Cowboy defensive backs Aaron Kyle, Cliff Harris, Charlie Waters and Benny Barnes…..and their task in covering the Steelers receivers of Lynn Swann, John Stallworth and Randy Grossman….which turned out to be a formidable task as the game progressed.
I have always found it quite enjoyable to go back and see the specific match-ups on the field that would unfold the real story of Super Bowl XIII….and something worth watching over again.
