DOG ASIDE:
This video gives us a look at how the Brittish view the Olympics from a piece produced by the BBC (Brittish Broadcasting Corportation)…..and their ardent following of their two best 800m and 1500m runners….Steve Ovett and Sebastian Coe…..both world class and world champions….which then morphs into an ABC Profile with Jim Lampley on how the USA got competitive with the world in many sports that they had not been competitive…..cuz the US athletes didn’t have any structure for training centers and coaches…..which was resolved by bringing in corporate sponsors. This was the catalyst that started the development of the USOC (United States Olympic Committee) to become a vehicle through which America developed its Olympics athletes without endangering many of the athletes amateur status…..thus allowing them to continue their college careers.
