Jerry Louis Page (born January 15, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio) was an American boxer…..who won the light welterweight gold medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics…..who had a year earlier won a silver medal at the 1983 Pan American Games. His road to 1984 Olympic gold was as follows…..where he 1st defeated Helmut Gertel (West Germany) 5-0….followed by his 5 – 0 defeat of Ostavio Robles of Mexico….then as depicted in this video….he defeated Kim Dong-Kil of South Korea 4 – 1…..followed by his defeat of Mirko Puzović (Yugoslavia) 5-0…..and in the gold medal bout, he defeated Dhawee Umponmaha of Thailand by a 5 – 0 decision….winning his gold medal in Los Angeles.
