The 7th round of the preliminary dives of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics men’s 10 m platform diving competition starts off with Li Kongzheng of China….who is leading the prelims after 6 dives….performing an inward 3 1/2 somersault in the pike position….which has a degree of difficulty of 3.4…..then comes Japan’s Masashi Nakashima a back 2 1/2 somersault pike with a 2.9 degree of difficulty…..followed by USA Greg Louganis performing an inward 3 1/2 somersault….after which came the dive of KUW Abdulla Abuqrais a reverse dive….followed by Christopher Snode of Great Britain doing a 3 1/2 inward somersault….then Isao Yamagishi of Japan doing an arm-stand double somersault pike….who is followed by USA Bruce Kimball….in 4th place….doing an arm-stand cut through reverse 1 1/2…..which he does beautifully.
