Olympics – 1984 Los Angeles – Fencing – Mens Team Epee – FRA Philippe Boisse VS FGR Volker Fischer

DOG COMMENTARY:

In this men’s fencing team epee finals match at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles…Philippe Boisse of France verses Germany’s Volker Fischer…as the Frenchman Boisse had already the gold medal in Fencing men’s individual epee….and winning silver as a result of this video match….adding to the gold medal he won in the Team epee event at the 1980 Moscow Olympics. Boisse is currently a vice-president of the French Fencing Federation….a practicing physician (radiology)….and the father of Érik Boisse….a 2004 Olympics gold medal winner in men’s team épée.

Boisse’s opponent in this video clip is Germany’s Volker Fischer….won a team epee gold medal in the these 1984 Games….a silver at the 1976 Montreal Olympics….and a silver at the 1980 Moscow Olympics…..as Fischer keeps fencing on fencing in the Veterans category even today with excellent results….having won the World Veterans Championship at Debrecen in 2014.

As a matter of interest…..Bone Daddy saw this finals competition in the team epee gold medal matches featuring the French and the German epee teams….and said what stood out most to him were the number of “penguins” that were in attendance…..cuz nearly all the fans and the judges….except for Los Tres Amigos….Bone Daddy, Sky Pilot and Prince of Pleasure….were all dressed in “black tie” attire….as fencing is apparently a “high class” affair.
