DOG ASIDE:

The 470 was a sailing event on the Sailing at the 1984 Summer Olympics program in Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California….where seven races were scheduled with 56 sailors on 28 boats, from 28 nations competed…..with Spain’s Luis Doreste and Roberto Molina winning gold….USA Steven Benjamin and Chris Steinfeld winning silver…..and France’s Thierry Peponnet and Luc Pillot winning bronze.

The Tornado was a sailing event on the Sailing at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics program….where seven races were scheduled with 40 sailors on 20 boats from 20 nations competed….with New Zealand’s Rex Sellers and Chris Timms winning gold….USA Randy Smith and Jay Glaser winning silver…..and AUS Chris Cairns and John Anderson winning bronze.

The Flying Dutchman was a sailing event on the Sailing at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics program….where seven races were scheduled with 34 sailors on 17 boats from 17 nations competed….with the USA crew of Jonathan McKee and William Carl Buchan winning gold…..CAN Terry McLaughlin and Evert Bastel winning silver and GBR Johanathan Richards and Peter Allam winning bronze.
