DOG COMMENTARY:
Tennis (lawn tennis) was part of the Summer Olympic Games program from the inaugural 1896 Summer Olympics….but was dropped after the 1924 Summer Olympics due to disputes between the International Lawn Tennis Federation and the International Olympic Committee over allowing amateur players to compete. After two appearances as a demonstration sport at the 1968 Mecixo City Olympics and the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics…..and returned as a full medal sport at the 1988 Seoul Olympics….having been played every edition of the Games since then.
Bone Daddy was able to see FGR Stefi Graf (West Germany) in her semi-final match against YUG Sabrina Goles…..while on his journey of a mission from God….cuz that’s how made this Sportsphile life companion of mine….when he and his buddies….Prince of Pleasure and Sky Pilot….accomplished a feat and record that can only be tied….never broken….when they saw a live event in every sport played at 1984 Los Angeles Olympics….including the demonstration sports like tennis and baseball. Actually, the men’s gold medal winner Stefan Edberg (Sweden) and women’s gold winner Steffi Graf (West Germany)….went on to win 28 Grand Slam Titles between the two of them….Enberg (6) and Graf (22).
This video is about USA’s Jimmy Arias….who won the bronze medal at this demonstration sport at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
