DOG ASIDE:
As the men’s pole vault competition moved into the finals round…..there were 14 vaulters who made the medal round…..with 7 of the 14 competitors exiting the competition at the height of 17 ft. 8 1/’2 in…..and as depicted in this video clip…..the Italian Mauro Barella and the Spaniard Alberto Ruiz.
