DOG ASIDE:

Kirk Baptiste (born June 20, 1962) is a retired American track and field athlete….who mainly competed in the 200 meters….winning the silver medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics with a time of 19.96 seconds….coming in second to USA Carl Lewis…..for this was the first time anyone had broken 20 seconds and come second in the race in track and field history.  Baptiste was a close friend and training partner of Carl Lewis…..and was considered by many to be the 2nd best 200 m sprinter in the world in 1984.
