DOG ASIDE:

Grace Jackson is a retired Jamaican athlete….who competed mainly in the 100 meters and 200 meters….reaching the 100 m and 200 m finals in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games and 1988 Seoul Olympic Games….and the 200 m final in Barcelona in 1992.  Her breakthrough performance was at the 1988 Seoul Olympics….where she won a silver medal in the 200 m….finishing behind USA Florence Griffith-Joyner….while winning the 200 m at the World Championship by defeating Silke Moller, Heike Drechsler and team mate Merlene Ottey. She also won a bronze medal at the 1987 IAAF World Indoor Championships and a silver medal at the 1989 IAAF World Indoor Championships.

Bernadette Jenelle “Randy” Givens is an American former track and field athlete who competed in sprinting events…as she set personal bests of 11.06 seconds for the 100-meter dash and 22.31 seconds for the 200-meter dash. Givens was a 200 m finalist at the 1984 Olympic Games and represented her country at the 1983 World Championships in Athletics. She was the 200 m gold medalist at the 1983 Pan American Games and returned to win a silver medal at the 1987 edition.
