The 1984 Women’s Olympic Volleyball Tournament was the 6th edition of the event….organized by the world’s governing body….the FIVB in conjunction with the IOC….as the competition was held in Long Beach, California from July 20 to August 9, 1984. This match against Peru was the semi-finals of the championship bracket…..being held on August 5, 1984. Peru would go on to lose to Japan in the bronze medal match…..and the USA would go on to lose to China in the gold medal match….thus winning the silver medal.
