Special 1985 ESPN SportsCenter With David Sullivan Featuring NHL + College Football + College

DOG ASIDE:

SportsCenter was conceived in 1979 and created by ESPN executives Chet Simmons and Scotty Connal….with the program being originally anchored by Chris Berman, George Grande, Greg Gumbel, Lee Leonard, Bob Ley, Sal Marchiano and Tom Mees….of whom Berman and Ley still remain employed with the network as of 2017.

George Grande and Lee Leonard….a longtime New York City sportscaster…..introduced the country to ESPN when they co-anchored the premiere episode of SportsCenter on September 7, 1979….and according to Entertainment Weekly….Leonard said in the opening of the show “If you’re a fan, what you will see in the next minutes, hours, and days to follow may convince you that you’ve gone to sports heaven.”

David Sullivan began to anchor the SportsCenter desk in mid-1983….and continued through 1985….as seen in this video herewith…..and remains today, the only person that this lil ole chiweenie Sportsphile cannot find any reference information on….regarding folks that we have multiple videos in which he appears in our library.
