TV Ads – 1977 – Suzuki Motorcycles + Ultra Brite Toothpaste + Dog Stop Restaurants Of Austin

Right about the time that Bone Daddy, the original Sportsphile, was opening his sports bar in 1976 at 302 E.6th St. in Austin, Texas….two of his fraternity brothers at the University of Texas back in the late 1960’s….were also getting into the food and beverage industry….which was a hot dog / sandwich shop called “Dog Stop”…..as seen in the video herewith…..for to hear Bone Daddy say….Dog Stop was like a “step up” from other hot dog stands around Austin…and the price was just a “step up” from Der Weinerschnitzel….who also had a good dog.”.

Dog Stop was successful enough to grow from their original location on The Drag at the University of Texas campus in Austin to four locations before closing their doors for good after a decade in business.
