TV Ads – 1978 – Honda Cars + Ultra Brite Toothpaste + Bill Munday Pontiac + Dog Stop Restaurants

Dog Stop Restaurants of Austin were owned by two of Bone Daddy’s (the original Sportsphile) fraternity brothers at the University of Texas back in the mid-to-late 1960’s and 1970’s…..as they started the business shortly after graduating from school.  The concept was very upscale as compared to Der Wienerschnitzel stands….as they were not only drive-thru hot dog stands….but also they had small dining areas inside that would seat 20 or so people…..and their hot dogs were dang good….and so were their sandwiches.

This video seen herewith proves that you just never know what might stimulate the memory to bring back fond memories of days gone by…..but this 30 second commercial for Dog Stop seen in this video herewith is living proof of how ImaSportsphile is an absolute treasure chest of vintage memories.
