Excedrin is an over-the-counter headache pain reliever….typically in the form of tablets or caplets. It contains paracetamol (acetaminophen), aspirin, and caffeine. Until late 2005 it was manufactured by Bristol-Myers Squibb….but in July 2005 it was purchased by Novartis….along with other products from BMS’s over-the-counter business….and as of March 2015, GSK holds majority ownership of Excedrin through a joint venture transaction with Novartis. The brand became known for advertisements in which Excedrin cured especially unpleasant and excruciating headaches….which were termed in the advertisements as “Excedrin headaches”.
Apparently in 1979….women’s heads were turning to short-haired men all over the country…especially the ones who use Viatalis for Men….as this lil ole chiweenie Sportsphile this Bone Daddy kinda liked the ladies in this commercial….cuz he had me run it back a couple of times.
And what can you say about Dodge Trucks that hasn’t been said over the the past 70 years of advertising….but we are sure that those of you who drove one of this model Dodge truck back in late 1970’s will have some fond memories of times spent in those trucks.
But this Austin Bowl a Rama ad brings back so many great memories of times spent bowling with family and friends to Bone Daddy….for being the raconteur that he is….I heard about bowling thru his legs….and bowling league championships….and fun with the ladies stories when this video came up….as this video is truly a “nugget of gold” in our treasure chest of vintage memories.
