In 1979, when Bone Daddy first opened his sports bar The Sports Place, Madison Square Garden at 302 E. 6th St. in Austin, TX…..he specialized in draft beer….with Budweiser, Miller High Life, Lone Star and Schlitz on tap….for he says that Schlitz was 2nd in total draft beer sales to Bud.
Bone Daddy grew up with a dad, Pops, who always had a pack of gum….with a stick for each of his 3 boys….and as far as he was concerned….Juicy Fruit was his way better that Spearmint or Doublemint.
As far a Texans are concerned…..a thick piece of prime rib….cooked to perfection on the grill….with the outside seared and carmelized….while the meat is rare and juicy….is at the top of the food chain….and Steak and Ale knew what they were doing…..when it came to prime rib.
