TV Ads – 1979 – Ultra Brite Tooth Paste + FM Sound Track Album + Conan Pizza Austin + House Of Jeans

Ultra Brite is an American toothpaste and tooth-whitener marketed by Colgate-Palmolive in the United States…..which was marketed as a whitening toothpaste….with its active ingredients being baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and sodium monofluorophosphate.  Colgate-Palmolive introduced Ultra Brite toothpaste in 1967…..as it gained popularity at the time of its launch with a television and print commercial ad campaign….which was aimed at Baby Boomers, that stated, “Ultra Brite gives your mouth…[bling]…sex appeal!”

The 1970’s was the decade when music albums and collections were advertised on television as CD’s and cassette tapes…..which you could mail or phone order to the addresses and phone numbers provided exclusively through tv commercials like the one seen herewith for the FM Sound Track Album.

Conan’s Pizza of Austin was the first deep dish pizza to be offered in Austin, Texas…..which became an Austin original that was tremendously popular during the 1970’s throughout the entire decades of the 1980’s and 1990’s…..as the original Conan’s location was still open close to the University of Texas campus on 29th Street.

Popular Austin singer/songwriter Rusty Weir pitches the House of Jeans stores in and around Austin during the 1970’s and 1980’s in the video below.
