DOG ASIDE:

Wells Lamont Retail Group is a predominantly online retail store that features leather gloves, socks and accessories….which are also sold at Walmart and other major reatailers….and is a subsidiary of the Marmon Group….an industrial United States holding company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois….which was founded by Jay Pritzker and Robert Pritzker in 1953 (as Colson Corporation)…..and has been held by the Berkshire Hathaway group since 2013. Bone Daddy remembers the Wells Lamont leather gloves as being the Army issue gloves for officers stationed in “cold country duty stations” like Berlin, Germany….when Bone Daddy was a part of the Berlin Brigade.

Alka-Seltzer is an effervescent antacid and pain reliever first marketed by the Dr. Miles Medicine Company of Elkhart, Indiana, United States…..as the “plop plop fizz fizz, oh what a relief it is” Alka-Seltzer contains the three active ingredients of aspirin, sodium bicarbonate and anhydrous citric acid….with the aspirin as a pain reliever and anti-inflammatory….the sodium bicarbonate is an antacid…. and the citric acid reacts with the sodium bicarbonate and water to form effervescence. It was developed by head chemist Maurice Treneer…..and is marketed for relief of minor aches, pains, fever,  inflammation, headache, heartburn, stomachache, indigestion, acid reflux and hangovers….while neutralizing excess stomach acid….which was launched in 1931….and still just as popular today in 2018.
