TV Ads – 1985 – Count Dracula For Bud Light + GTE Long Distance + 49ers QB Joe Montana For Hersheys

Since the largest percentage of our TV ads here at ImaSportsphile come from past sporting events….I can truthfully say that Anheiser-Busch….the makers of Budweiser, Bud Light and Michelob….do more advertising than any other product that we showcase in our incredible vintage TV Ads section. The decade of the 1980’s saw Bud Light Beer commercials in direct competition with Miller Lite Beer for creativity, humor and entertainment value….evidenced by this Count Dracula at Halloween Bud Light commercial….cuz anything else is just a light.

GTE Corporation, formerly General Telephone & Electronics Corporation (1955–1982)….was the largest independent telephone company in the United States during the days of the Bell System. The company operated from 1926 until 2000….when it was acquired by Bell Atlantic….as the combined company took the name Verizon.  GTE provided local telephone service to a large number of areas of the U.S. through operating companies, much as AT&T provided local telephone service through its 22 Bell Operating Companies.

The Hershey Company….which is commonly called Hershey’s…. is an American company and one of the largest chocolate manufacturers in the world….who also manufactures baked products like cookies….. with Its headquarters are in Hershey, Pennsylvania….which is also home to Hershey’s Chocolate World.  It was founded by Milton S. Hershey in 1894 as the Hershey Chocolate Company.
