NCAAM Basketball – 1988 – Final Four Semifinals – Arizona Wildcats VS Oklahoma Sooners

DOG COMMENTARY;

This NCAA men’s basketball national championship semifinal game between Coach Lute Olsen’s Arizona Wildcats verses Coach Billy Tubbs Oklahoma Sooners was a good game between two outstanding teams…..as the Wildcats showcased NBA talents with F Sean Elliot….who scored 31 points in this game….along with C Tom Tolbert, who had 13 rebounds….and G Steve Kerr, who had 5 assists…..while the Sooners featured G Mookie Blaylock, F Harvey Grant and C Stacey King….as Blaylock and Grant led the Sooners in this game with 21 points each…..while Grant had 10 rebounds….and G Ricky Grace had 8 assists.

This semifinal game was played on April 2nd in front of 16,392 fans at the Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri…..as the Sooners pretty much led throughout the game….as they went into halftime with a 39 – 27 lead…..and finished the game off at 86 – 78…..but Arizona maintained contact throughout the game.

For any and all college basketball fans….this is well worth watching….plus the game is carried by CBS Sports….with their legendary college basketball broadcast team of Brent Musburger and Billy Packer….as these “two masters of the mike” make this game historic.
