We are so glad that we started our Star Spangled Banner section here at ImaSportsphile ….cuz we have had really good response from folks who enjoy the videos of our National Anthem….and what an wonderful array of artist performing our hallowed song….so, when you run across one like this rendition….played at the medal ceremony for the men’s 1000m sprint cycling medal winners…..where the video is fine, but the sound is distorted…..just remember that this was done on a hot August night in Austin, TX in 1984, when this event was recorded.
We figure that the family, friends and fans of these three cycling champions….would still enjoy watching their heroes receive their Olympic medal….even if the sound isn’t perfect.
